Human: Scale Lexington Class Aircraft Carrier Model Designed at 1/1800th Size Lexington Class aircraft carriers are among the earliest to be built for the United States Navy, representing the second and third carrier classes. Initially envisioned as battlecruisers, these hulls were later modified to accommodate aircraft due to emerging trends in their effectiveness. Lexington suffered its demise during history's first naval battle between aircraft carriers in 1942. On the other hand, her sister ship Saratoga managed to survive intense torpedo and kamikaze attacks but ultimately met a controlled demise for nuclear weapons testing purposes in 1946. This specific model of the Lexington Class is offered in three designs: as it stood in 1938 and 1942 with its counterpart the Saratoga represented around 1943. Scale size has been set to precisely 1/1800th; though scale changes are possible this may result in lesser details. Main structural features, such as mast and barrels have undergone expansion to meet the enlarged format. A component of a WW II fleet model collection I possess, more pieces will appear going forward. In case you would like any particular models included do feel free to communicate this and I'll arrange them into my build order based on demand received.
