Mounting electronics was a challenge I gladly accepted. On hand, I had this nifty thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:821099, leftover from my oldie printer which I hadn't built yet and wanted to incorporate into my Play setup. The SmartLCD controller required back and front support, so I decided to use the hinge back support. However, attaching it to the chassis without a drill was no easy feat. In a stroke of genius, I designed two pieces that would attach the LCD support from above via the hinge and press fit them onto the right back of the chassis with M4 nuts & bolts. This way, drilling became unnecessary - a principle I live by: think twice, drill once. The piece attaching to the hinge required extra support, so let's proceed. It took me three months to complete this project, but it was worth it. Anyone have some free time to print out a design?
