Levolor 2" Blinds Roller
thingiverse
My 15-year-old blinds began falling apart, and after some investigation, I discovered that it was the roller part responsible for tilting them. Before replacing all of the blinds, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try modeling a replacement part as a fun project. To my delight, it worked perfectly, and now I can get working blinds for just a few cents instead of hundreds of dollars. This guide is specifically designed for 2-inch blinds that use the twist pole to tilt them. The parts were printed with PETG at 0.2mm layers, four walls, three top/bottoms, and 20% cubic infill. The rod they slip onto is a 4mm square bar, and the hole in the part is precisely 4mm square. When I printed this on my own printer, it was a very tight fit, but heating the tip of the rod slightly made it easier to slide into place. Next, the string will push through the two holes at the top with the metal clips still attached. I use needle-nosed pliers to help guide them through.
