I'm sharing my latest 3D printing project, a stunning torus that's been beautifully captured on camera. This particular print is one of my favorites, and it's amazing how the light interacts with its facets, creating a mesmerizing effect. Check out this video to see the torus in action: https://youtu.be/931slqlG4_o The design behind this torus was created by Herbert Edelsbrunner, and I downloaded it from his website at pub.ist.ac.at/~edels/Tubes/. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, here's the specific file used in the video: http://pub.ist.ac.at/~edels/Tubes/tori/quad/n8.stl Printing this torus took around 11 hours on my trusty Ender 3 Pro. It's currently sitting on a levitation module that I picked up from eBay for about $50. If you're planning to get one of these modules, make sure to coat the bottom of the top magnet with hot melt glue - it will save your magnets from breaking when the top crashes. And trust me, it will crash frequently as you learn to balance it just right. After I recorded the video, I added some feet to my levitation module using short lengths of thick glue stick screwed into its metal base.
