Lever Pull Wine Opener Guide
thingiverse
I have a LNT "Lever Pull" corkscrew wine opener that's identical to those sold under Rabbit, Houdini, Costco, and other brands. It features a corkscrew with a flathead screw on top. Two parts tend to wear out on these openers: the corkscrew and corkscrew guide. Replacement corkscrews are available on Amazon and fit almost any lever pull opener, but finding a replacement guide is nearly impossible. These guides often wear badly, especially when the corkscrew bends and flexes while trying to get through synthetic "corks." This part is a near-perfect match for your opener. To install it, follow these steps: 1. Remove the corkscrew by unscrewing its cap and twisting it upwards until it's out. 2. Tap out the pin that holds in the guide with a small punch set. 3. Drop the new guide in place and reverse the previous two steps. I've included not only the STL file but also the gcode for my Ender-3 printer, which I used to print this part using PLA. To get a clean upper wall, I added some lines to the gcode that slow down the print and reduce the temperature during the top half of the hole's print time. The hole for the pin is intentionally tight, so you'll need to push the small end in and out on each side to widen it before tapping it into place. My pin has two small ribs that hold it in place, and these should be the last thing to go in the hole. I've also included the Fusion 360 f3d file for those with this program, allowing you to make changes to the internal spiral. This is a parameter-driven f3d file, so most modifications can be made by entering new parameters rather than editing the model itself. However, the spiral must be edited by selecting it, right-clicking, and then choosing "Edit Feature."
