Lever for Harbor Freight bar clamp
prusaprinters

I bought a couple of bar clamps from Harbor Freight a few years ago. The first time I used them, they both broke. This thing is my replacement for the broken lever. I have put more pressure on this one than it took to break the original ones, so hopefully I now have two good clamps.

Print instructions

Category: Hand Tools Print Settings

Printer: FlashForge Creator pro

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: Yes

Resolution: .2mm

Infill: 20%

How I Designed This

I took a picture of the broken part with the pieces in place. Then I imported the picture into inkscape, traced around the image, and saved the svg file.

I imported the svg into 123D design as a sketch, extruded it to the dimension of the lever, and then added the holes. I made a few changes to the shape to strengthen as much as possible.
