I purchased a couple of bar clamps from Harbor Freight several years ago. The first time I utilized them, both units broke. This device is my replacement for the faulty lever. I have applied greater pressure on this one than it took to shatter the original ones, so hopefully, I now possess two functional clamps. Then, I imported the image into inkscape, traced around it, and saved the svg file. I transferred the svg into 123D design as a sketch, thickened it to the dimensions of the lever, and subsequently added the holes. I made a few adjustments to the shape to fortify it as much as possible.
