Leveling screw locker

Leveling screw locker

thingiverse

This knurled device has a holder for an M3 nut that can be customized to screw tight against the existing leveling nut on a printer to keep the leveling in place a little longer. It's designed specifically for the DaVinci 1.0a but with some customization, it should work on other printers as well. Some notes on usage are important to follow: Hold the existing leveling nut in place when tightening or loosening this device. Otherwise, instead of turning just the nut, you'll be turning the whole leveling bolt - although that may be useful if your leveling bolt needs to be tightened up. You will notice a slight shift in leveling when tightening this device. With time and practice, you'll learn to compensate for it. This device can also be used as a replacement for existing leveling nuts if desired. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ DaVinci 1.0a with Repetier Rafts: No rafts are needed. Supports: No supports are necessary. Resolution: The resolution is set at 0.35. Infill: Infill is set to 50%. Notes: Use a brim if printing vertically for added stability.
