Leveling Knob with UP/DN Arrows
thingiverse
I think I like this version better. Manually leveling most 3D printer beds by turning the leveling knobs under the heat bed is confusing, so I created this in 3DS Max with extruded UP and DN lettering, featuring arrows. Like the previous version, I designed the last extrusion of the model to be more circular, just drill a hole for a tap screw (p.s. for better resolution of the lettering to come out, use a smaller diameter head like 0.2mm, and 60% speed etc.). Here's the general issue when leveling your bed: Looking from the top of the wheel: Turning clockwise moves the bed up, represented by the left arrow. The spring expands, pushing the bed upward. Turning counterclockwise moves the bed down, represented by the right arrow. The spring contracts, pulling the bed downward. I'm using a 10-24, 15/64” brass set screw and 10-24, 1.25” or 1.5” screws. A hole with a diameter of 6.0mm is required, along with threads that are approximately 7.0mm in length. For the 10-24, 15/64” set screw, use a drill bit measuring 15/64” or 6mm to create the hole for the set screw (the threads are roughly 7.0mm).
