Leveling device for Ducato
thingiverse
I wanted a level for my Ducato 250 campervan, but what I've been using so far has its limitations. A two-axis level attached to the back of the kitchen table just isn't ideal - it's hard to see from the driver's seat and requires constant adjustments. I needed a more precise solution that would give me a clear view of the leveling system while driving. The existing surface near the driver's seat was either too inclined or too flexible, which made it difficult to use. So I looked for an alternative mounting spot, and discovered a small ledge between the steering wheel and gearshift. That's where I decided to place the lower part of my level. It fits perfectly in that gap, providing a stable surface for the upper part to sit on. The upper part is attached to a ball swivel, which allows it to rotate freely. The other two mounting points are M3 bolts that screw into nuts (5mm long). These bolts make it easy to adjust the level as needed. When I was designing the level, I had to work with limited space in mind. One of the bolts had to be inserted at a 45° angle just to get any tool inside to secure it properly. It wasn't ideal, but it got the job done. In the end, I settled on a design that features two distinct parts: a black one and a white one. The white part shows more detail about how the level is constructed, while the black part represents the final product with all its refinements.
