As a fisherman, I relished participating in this challenge since it highlighted the demands of the sport. My main focus was to minimize the number of components for easy handling, so I designed a rod holder that only requires tightening ONE screw during assembly. Efficiency was also crucial; the optimal rod angle ensures effectiveness in Surf Casting and comfort in Spinning fishing. Sustainability and manufacturability were key considerations as well. The design allows for easy replacement of wooden pieces, reducing waste, and the simple manufacturing process requires just two bent steel rods joined by a single weld. The entire setup includes only 7 components that won't need further adjustments after assembly. Lastly, the 3 Point Lock-based system ensures this compact design can be securely placed in any area on your kayak.
