LESHP Z1 3D Printer Cooling Fan Duct
thingiverse
A partially successful attempt to produce an improved fan duct for the stock fan on the Z1 3D printer, as sold under the brands EZT, SINIS & LESHP. The printer doesn't ship with a duct, and the file supplied on the printer's TF card leaves much to be desired. While this is obviously not a satisfactory long-term solution - unless you really like the duct tape aesthetic - it does allow you to print out better quality parts to improve your printer. The squared-off version is an attempt to make the stock fan usable with an E3D V6 hotend; it's slightly shorter than the original hotend supplied with the printer, thus less clearance. I even fitted it with a lug/bracket, allowing it to be attached more securely to the fan. This works, but requires trimming with side cutters to fit the contour of the fan housing. Ultimately, however, I've given up on the stock fan; decent attachment points for a fan duct are all but nonexistent, necessitating the use of tape. I've now acquired a larger radial fan, similar to that on other printers - a "DF5015SM". I'm in the process of designing a duct and bracket that will allow it to work with the Z1.
