Lerdge Tronxy X5s raised base for power, electronics, cooling, etc.with options
thingiverse
I designed this raised base to store my electronics neatly on my Tronxy X5s without them hanging off the sides everywhere. I plan to cover it with smoked plexiglass when finished or create an interlocking cover that can be printed, and we'll see how it goes. Originally, I printed the corners from Bmyrdahl's design but had to redesign them to fit my X5s' 2040 side rails. Although I used his base dimensions for most of the corners, I started from scratch and came up with a new design, which turned out better than I expected despite being my first modeling project. To assemble this design, you'll need to mirror the corner in your slicer to get the other sides. There are multiple options available for side panels, including ones with and without vent slots. You can choose from several LCD options: - An LCD with a dial - An LCD without a dial - An LCD with Larson scanner kit - A blank panel if you already have a mount The LCD with Larson scanner kit is designed to work with the following product: https://shop.evilmadscientist.com/productsmenu/tinykitlist/152-scanner. It clips and screws into the panel, which then clicks into the LCD base without any screws. I printed it with text facing up and changed my filament to white for better visibility, but removing supports was a bit of a challenge. I've also attached all five of my board mounts and power supply mounts, meant to be screwed down to the 3/4" plywood base that I painted black. The board mounts are designed for the Lerdge-K, Lerdge power monitoring module, mosfet, Raspberry Pi 3, and a buck converter. This is my first released design.
