Lepenski Vir Artifact

Lepenski Vir Artifact

I brought an ancient relic from Lepinski Vir back to life through meticulous recreation. Dating back around 7000 BCE, I aimed to honor the original artist's vision while introducing a dash of modern flair. To achieve this balance, I deliberately kept the edges sharp and defined, but allowed for a slight asymmetry that adds character to the piece. By accentuating the eyebrows, I made it easier to decipher the subject's emotions, giving the artwork an air of expressiveness. The artifact's significance is shrouded in mystery, with some archeologists theorizing it represents death due to its depiction of ribs and bones. Others believe it could be a symbol of reverence for fish, given their crucial role as a food source in the lives of river-dwellers like those from Lepinski Vir. Feel free to weave your own narrative into this contemporary interpretation, allowing the artwork to serve as a canvas for your imagination. GLUB GLUB!
