Da Vinci fooled the public with numerous perpetual motion machines, deceiving many people in the process. In reality, the sum of distances and weights of all moving parts equates to zero, resulting in no energy being generated. Had Da Vincy had access to geared micro dc motors, he would have undoubtedly utilized them to make his machines even more convincing. A microswitch is activated when the unit is placed on a flat surface. To replicate the video, lift the unit and carefully place the four 17mm marbles inside. As if holding the wheel, gently set the unit down, then release it, allowing it to start rotating. If the wheel rotates in the wrong direction, simply swap the motor wires. A 6-volt motor functions well on 3 volts, powered by two AA batteries. To slow down a motor running too fast, insert a resistor with approximately 330 Ohms in series with the motor. The microswitch remains in place thanks to two M2 bolts. Tip: If marbles slip away between the strips, as seen in the video on the left side, heat the strips in hot water (about 90C) and carefully bend them towards each other by just one millimeter. https://youtu.be/wErkUeWKXRM Another da Vinci creation: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2833419
