Leonardo the Dethroned

Leonardo the Dethroned is on the throne no more. Once ruler of a vast kingdom after his father's passing, he became lazy and indulgent, losing touch with the people. A cunning zebra vassal saw this opportunity to turn the people against him and dethrone Leonardo. Now, he must find a way to win back their hearts and reclaim the kingdom! I designed Leonardo as the main character for a 3D platformer. I aimed to give him a fun, cartoony look. To achieve this, I created basic textures and normal maps using 3D Coat, GIMP, and Blender's baking features. Leonardo was supposed to have a complete moveset similar to Super Mario Odyssey. However, I ran out of time and skill to finish it or polish what I already had. I wanted to test his animations in Unity by making a simple platformer using a tutorial, but this was beyond my capabilities for this project. This work was part of a school assignment at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
