Human: Call it nostalgia, but I've always been captivated by the appearance of the turtles from the original 1990 film. It blew me away that they took these relatively simple drawings and brought to life these remarkably realistic humanoid turtles. I remember being utterly stunned when I first saw them. When I started working on this project, there were these new turtle figures out that had captured quite a bit of the detail from the movie costumes, so I used those as references extensively. I built this model with high-end game cinematics in mind, and the base model was around 83k before smoothing. He will eventually have a full working facial rig with a mouth cavity...I'm just getting lazy here towards the end of him. The skin I ended up using is one of the default new orc skin templates in Painter, and I messed around with the layers in that with some of my own custom additions - I think it turned out pretty nice. Maybe someday I'll do the other three, then put them all in a little short film or something.
