In this post, a sketch from discoverthisworld.com is referenced, showcasing two intermittent mechanism models created by the author. The models feature worm gears and are constructed differently but function similarly. They were designed using Solidworks 2016, rendered in Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition, and frames edited with Virtualdub before being saved as AVI/X264 and BMP files. The video was remuxed to MP4 with MyMP4BoxGui, gifs were made using PhotoScape, and renders were edited with IrfanView. The 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are all animated, with the ZIM file viewable on IOS and Android devices via the free Simlab Viewer app. Additionally, models are available in various formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
