Leonardo da Vinci's Bicycle Inspiration ===================================================== I'm convinced that the bicycle drawing is a genuine work by Leonardo da Vinci; however, Wikipedia (GER) has doubts about its authenticity. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angebliche_Fahrradzeichnung_Leonardo_da_Vincis Despite this, I was captivated by the drawing and decided to create a 3D model in Fusion 360. Here's the result: Some details were modified to make them suitable for 3D printing. Wheels, gears, and pedals are designed to be movable. The "chain" is printed with flexible material (TPU). It should be printed first and attached to the frame while printing. Otherwise, you'll need to cut and glue it to assemble the parts. The rear gear is glued to the wheel with space in between. Use a screw to guide it. Pedals are also glued to the screw and nut. Bill of Materials ----------------- - 2x M3x20 cylinder head screws - 1x M3x22 cylinder head screw (I used a M3x25, which I cut down) - 3x M3 self-locking nuts - 1x piece of 1.75mm filament to attach the handles - Super glue Happy printing!
