The Britannia, a Galactic Patrol Fleet cruiser, takes its inspiration from the legendary Lensman Books by E.E. "Doc" Smith, as beautifully captured in the Anime film "Lensman". Originally, the Britannia in the books was designed with a teardrop shape, but I find the look of the ship as depicted in the 80's anime movie to be far more striking, even if the movie itself left something to be desired. A 'landed' version will eventually come into being, but for now, I present to you my interpretation of this stunning vessel.
