I simply swapped out the standard 35mm lenses for a pair of smaller 25mm ones, specifically designed for use with the OnePlus One VR Headset, item code 686737. As it happened, I had some spare 25mm lenses on hand, so all I needed to do was fashion an adapter that would bridge the gap between 35mm and 25mm, then tweak the lens's position to get a snug fit.
