There is an updated design [available here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4686635).\r\n\r\nIf you want to skip using a metal ring, I don't get it (they're way more comfortable...), but you can print this design if that's your thing. I'm not your boss, though. If you do decide to go without the ring, I'd still recommend using the mk3 design as a 52mm filter thread instead of this one, or messing with its CAD files to get yourself a plastic 55mm thread.\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nThis device is designed to hold 55mm lens attachments (filters or macro lenses) in front of your Polaroid Impulse's main lens, allowing for macro photography, polarizers, and other creative possibilities. It consists of two parts: a bracket that stays on the camera and a "monocle" that slides into it and can be easily removed.\r\n\r\n~~The mk2 design has some minor issues - the "butterfly wings" tend to pop out of the rail. There's a possible fix, and I'm working on an updated version, the mk3, which will replace the butterfly wings with a simple latch. It also uses step-up rings for a metal thread so you can stop fiddling with plastic things.\r\n\r\n**ABS plastic or stronger is recommended. This model has not been tested with PLA.**
