Lens Chooser (A/B/C) for Oculus Rift DK1
thingiverse
Oculus Rift DK1 includes three sets of lenses: A, B, and C. The lens chooser allows you to test which lenses fit best without having to test them on the Oculus Rift itself. This is especially useful if you're showing the Rift to multiple friends - someone can wear the Rift while others try out the other lens sets. Individuals with glasses will find this feature particularly helpful. The lens chooser only works for one eye, but you may want to print two separate devices to experience the 3D effect with both eyes. Having a device for each eye enables two people to test lenses at the same time or allows one person to enjoy the 3D effect. Don't forget to include the calibration image provided in the screenshot and print it to test the focus of the lenses or the 3D effect. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Up! Printer: Up Plus Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.20mm Notes: Place the object vertically with the rectangular hole facing upwards. If you place the circular hole at the top, a significant amount of support material will be used, making it difficult to remove. Post-Printing: Adjust the inner image by printing the included image at a width of 11cm to fit inside the Lens Chooser for Oculus Rift DK1. For both eyes, you need to print two lens choosers, one for each eye.
