Anyone with an Eachine 250 quad racer has likely encountered the frustrating issue of removing the lens cap, which is flush mounted, making it a challenge to access. Once you manage to pry it off, where do you store it? I usually place mine in a convenient spot only to forget its location afterwards. A simple solution that worked for me involves creating a custom lens cap with a handle that can be easily grasped and attached securely to the quad frame using a string or tie wrap. To make it even more visible, I print the lens cap in bright colors so I always know if it's in place. The handle can also be printed separately and glued to the existing lens cap for the same effect. This fix is straightforward and may prove useful to others. Print Settings Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Workbench Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 60-100% Notes: I used PLA to print the lens cap, but ABS would yield similar results. The handle can be securely attached with super glue. Due to variations in printer settings, the fit may be slightly tight, requiring a small file or sandpaper on the inside ring of the cap to achieve a snug fit. With my first spool of TPU on hand, I've created some flexible lens caps that are truly impressive.
