Lenovo Yoga 710 MicroHDMI protection
thingiverse
I'm absolutely obsessed with my Lenovo Yoga 710 but the microHDMI connector is a total disaster. It's an awful format for HDMI - those heavy HDMI cables are way too much for this tiny connector, and I've ended up breaking countless cables and adapters. Now, I just buy cheap adapters, but I'm constantly worried about snapping that delicate computer connector one of these days. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a protective enclosure for my microHDMI/HDMI adapter (which I picked up in a physical store, by the way - same one you can find on Amazon). This little "box" does its best to shield my adapter from any rough handling, whether it's getting jostled left or right, or even up and down. By using this protective case, I've managed to free up some much-needed USB port space for my trusty Nano receiver. It's been a game-changer for me - no more struggling to find room for my mouse! One important caveat: please, for the love of all things good, don't even think about closing your laptop with this adapter still inserted! Just...don't do it. As always, use this at your own risk - I'm not responsible for any damage or mishaps that might occur from using this little contraption.
