3D Model of OEM Lenovo T420 HDD Cover The side farthest from the screw hole - or the side closest to the front of the laptop - has a distinctive curve. Measuring this curve can be challenging, and so it will not be perfect; you will need to sand it down yourself, just like any other area that requires smoothing. You'll also need a screw to secure the cover: one provided is 15.13mm long with a shaft of 13.73mm and a diameter of 1.88mm, and threading is extremely fine - approximately .3mm. The head is flat with a Phillips driver, measuring 3.62mm in diameter. Most of the threading remains unused, allowing you to easily find a screw that fits by length and thickness alone; simply thread it through the laptop's board without the original screw. Without this screw, the only thing holding the cover in place is the tiny ridge on the opposite side of the screw hole and the small ramp on the adjacent side. I don't expect you to locate an exact match for these specifications, but I hope this information helps.
