The 60-degree fan on this PC had become unbearably loud, and all that was available was an 85mm replacement. This setup allows for the installation of an 85mm fan while maintaining airflow through the heat sink's fins. Despite the 85mm fan's lower CFM rating than its 60-degree counterpart, identical temperatures were achieved at 100% CPU usage with the quieter, slower 85mm fan in operation.
