Length, Area, Volume: Study 1 -- The Cube
thingiverse
Designed by P. Streilein, this PLTW Engineering Program model showcases the relationships between length, area, and volume. The Riverside High School Durham, NC-based concept features a 6 unit cube with 6 equal slices labeled with dimensions for educational purposes. By stacking the slices in the provided holder, students can calculate cumulative volumes or build up to the full cube while calculating layer areas and volumes. The model was printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 using specific settings.
