LEMAX Train - Flat bed
thingiverse
This is a flatbed for my LEMAX train, which is part of a complete set of Christmas Village accessories available exclusively in Canada at Canadian Tire. The entire collection is sold during the holiday season only, so the link may not be active. To see my full LEMAX collection, visit this Thingiverse page. There are two versions: one blank and another with 3mm square holes spaced 20mm apart for accessories. The included accessories are: * A single perimeter rocket that can be printed in multiple materials * Nuclear waste drums * Wooden crates You will need to print one hitch, two dollies, and eight wheels. The shafts are made from 1¼" finishing nails. The holes on the dollies must be re-drilled with a 5/64" bit, while the wheels require a #51 (0.067") drill bit. I use this setup in North America, but feel free to adapt it to your available materials. To assemble the wheel dollies and hitch, simply tap the nail into place, then add a small dot of glue on the exterior for extra security. Make sure all nail heads are on the same side for a neater appearance. The dollies and hitch are secured in place with M2x4 screws, which may require some washers to fit properly. When printing the wheels in CURA, set "Top/Bottom" and "Bottom Pattern Initial Layer" to "Concentric."
