This redesign project is a speaker with waves as stands. I chose to support the speaker by using wave stands because I wanted to create a unique design so it wouldn’t just be a simple tube. I also decided to use the waves as speaker stands because the ocean is a major part of my life and I wanted to portray it onto another thing that is important to me which is music. On the speaker there is a slot on the top to put a phone into. Underneath the slot there are two curved rectangles for the sound to bounce off on as well as two pipes that allow air flow to come out of. At the end of the cylinder, there is two truncated cones for the sound to come out of. The material used to construct this design is ABS+. This material is better to use than the regular ABS because the shrinkage is reduced a lot. It also results in less warping. One down side is that this material doesn’t allow you to use gasoline with the material. Fortunately for me, I do not need gasoline for my project. All you need is a few friends, the wave speaker and some good beats then you’re all set.
