Leica ISO film speed hotshoe cover
thingiverse
On my fully manual '50s Leica M3 rangefinder camera, the ISO film speed indicator dial on the back only goes up to 200 - the fastest speed available at the time. With film speeds now going all the way up to ISO 3200, this dial is essentially useless, so I have to remember what film I loaded last time I used the camera. This might be weeks ago, and trying to recall can be a real challenge. Was it Delta 3200? Was it Cinestill 50? Or my usual Portra 400? Oops. After making this mistake one too many times, I took gcardinal's hotshoe covers to the next level by adding ISO speed numbers to the top. Load your camera, swap out the cover with the right ISO number, and you'll never forget what film is loaded again! These hotshoe covers should be fairly universal, so you don't have to own a Leica to use them. Try it out! This set comes with speeds 100, 125, 160, 200, 320, 400, 800, 1600 and 3200. The text is raised and easy to color with just a few swipes of permanent marker. A tip: if you print two sets, one in white and one in a color, you can even remember whether you have black and white or color film loaded.
