What is the purpose? Doing macro photography with a Leica M without a macro lens is what I'm trying to figure out. There's an expensive solution - buying an extension tube from another brand. So, I made my own and it works well. If you want to try, don't forget to paint the small part white so the camera won't stop you from using live view. It can't recognize a lens otherwise.
