UPDATE: 1/12/2020 Made a crucial adjustment to Emitter Ring 1 in order to enhance its attachment point. This delicate part demands utmost care when assembling. I'm excited to share my take on Leia's Lightsaber from The Rise of Skywalker. To ensure printability and ease painting, I've designed the model into separate components that can be printed in two colors and assembled immediately after printing. As you see here, the finished product required minimal post-processing and was assembled using CA glue. I'm confident that my design is remarkably close to the original, given the limited references available at this point. However, I'll likely make minor revisions as new references emerge or based on user feedback, so please share your thoughts if you decide to print this. General settings are .16 or .2 layer height, 15-20% infill, and concentric layers with support and ironing. Feel free to experiment with different layer patterns (zig zag, concentric, or lines) on the Main Grips and Secondary Grips for unique effects. Button pieces and activation ring are delicate and may require careful adjustment/processing. These parts are subject to change. Additionally, I've included a few batch files: Copper: - Copper Batch.stl: most copper parts - no supports needed. - Grip Tubes.stl: main grip and upper/lower grip inserts - no supports needed. Silver: - Emitter Assembly.stl: emitter parts - use supports - touching buildplate. - Silver Batch.stl: most silver parts - use supports - touching buildplate. - Main Grips.stl: 6x of the main grips - no supports needed. - Secondary Grips.stl: 6x of the secondary grips - no supports needed.
