Legs for Ice Box case for Raspberry Pi 4 with Ice Tower Cooler

These simple legs are designed to complement my Ice Box case for the Raspberry Pi 4b with the Ice Tower Cooler.\r\n\r\nCase available here:\r\n\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3950768\r\n\r\nI've previously worked on cases that elevate single board computers vertically, allowing for airflow across the board and heatsink, while also organizing cables attached to the board.\r\n\r\nMy Ice Box case felt incomplete without anti-slip feet at the bottom, leaving the Pi sitting conventionally with cables exiting from different sides.\r\n\r\nI created these simple legs to bolt onto existing holes in the previous design, featuring optional cable holders that encourage all cables to exit on the same side of the Pi.\r\n\r\nThe bolts used to mount these legs to the case are m3 x 12mm or longer. Ideal screws for assembling the rest of the case are m3 x 6mm and these legs are 6mm thick.\r\n\r\nI recommend printing these with 5 walls and no infill to ensure stability. If printed too sparsely, cables will flex the leg they're clipped to, making it sit imperfectly flat.\r\n\r\nThere are recessed areas on the bottom of the feet designed for adhesive rubber pads like those from Mayam (https://www.amazon.com/Mayam-Adhesive-Bumpers-Dampening-Cabinet/dp/B073W1B3G1/ref=pd_sbs_60_t_0/138-9788332-2903339).\r\n\r\nThese feet are the same ones used in all my designs requiring feet. Any foot with a diameter under 8.5mm and thickness over 2mm should work.\r\n\r\nI suggest installing these legs along the edge opposite where the Pi board mounts, which is essentially the "top" side. They can be attached at the same edge as the board, but may interfere with SD card access or lower USB ports when used with certain USB connectors/dongles/thumbdrivers.\r\n\r\nThe main difference between variants A and B is that they are left/right mirror images of each other. Neither A nor B requires mounting on a specific side of the case.\r\n\r\nAlthough these legs don't strictly need support, some internal reinforcement in the recesses for the feet might be useful.\r\n\r\nThe feet are round, violating the *no vertical circles* rule of thumb for 3D printing. Support could improve their print quality, but they're so small that uneven layering at the bottom is barely noticeable.\r\n\r\nI'm still experimenting with these designs and exploring different cable clip solutions and general designs. I'll add more if I come up with something good. So, check back in a week if you don't like these exact legs.\r\n\r\nYour feedback or suggestions for improvements are always welcome!
