Lego Wall Switch Plate
thingiverse
Print a test run to determine which size studs are best suited for holding Lego bricks in place. A new filament can also impact how well bricks stick, so consider this when printing your test. Both sizes should work with your printer, but for optimal results, print the test first. Once you've established the ideal stud size, decide whether you want a solid switch plate or one with a hollow shell. The shelled version will require support material and possibly bridging during the printing process. Rotate the models to examine the back side and note that the supported surface will be against the wall, which is a plus. Before printing your switch plate, remove the existing one you plan to replace and inspect the switch box's position within the wall. If it's fully enclosed, opt for a solid switch plate. However, if screws or the box protrude from the wall, choose the shelled version for a better fit against the wall.
