LEGO "The Guardians Ship" (Set 76193) - Wall Mount
thingiverse
I couldn't find an existing wall mount I liked, so I made my own to display this LEGO set on the wall.It mounts to the wall using my favorite drywall anchors. (https://www.homedepot.com/p/E-Z-Ancor-Twist-N-Lock-75-lbs-Drywall-Anchors-50-Pack-25310/100040265)It uses a keyhole mount on the screws to keep them out of sight. It mounts to the set using the existing pieces, no additional pieces necessary. It also allows the model to rotate as it does on the original base.I'm including the Keyhole Test piece I used to calibrate the keyhole sizes for the screws, in case you want to use different screws. (Then make the accompanying changes to the arm.)I also have the Keyhole Spacer, which is the proper thickness so you don't have to guess how far to screw the screws into the anchors for a flush mount on the wall. :-) Just screw into the anchor over the spacer, until it's snug but can slide off, then the arm mount should slide snugly over it as well. (I didn't make an alignment piece for the holes, but I usually just use the masking tape trick for that.) (First google result I could find that quickly explains what I mean by "masking tape trick" can be found below.)Masking Tape Trick - https://youtu.be/J0bG2poiV6A?si=4QF4hahlRU4Z7_WuPrinted in ABS with 15% infill, and it has been hanging for 3 months with no issue. Printing on its side is key so that the strain of the model isn't pulling against the layer lamination.
