LEGO TECHNIC INSPIRED RC TANK
thingiverse
For this tank: 80EA Tracks 2EA Track Structures 4EA Drive Gears 16EA Pulleys 80EA Pins (I used nails) Regarding the pins/nails I used: Nail = 0.082" diam Head = 0.200" diam Length = 1.25" While twisting the nail with a pair of pliers, I pushed the nail thru the track pieces and then cut the nails to length. The cut produces a small amount of 'squish' to the nail which prevents it from coming out. It is a snug fit, as the track loosens up. To rapidly loosen the joins, I drove the assembly with a drill in both directions for a few minutes. I drilled out the holes in the structural pieces with a 3/16" drill bit, only where the pulleys were used. You can do them all, it's just not necessary. I added hot glue to the tracks to increase traction. The rest of the pieces I used from my Lego Technic collection. Link to video: https://youtu.be/tA2PC5ARcQ
