Lego Superman 2X
thingiverse
I wanted to print Lego characters that are two times normal size. To achieve this, I adapted Supernova_6969's Lego Figurine Remixed from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2410047). Doubling up the size and making various tweaks helped smooth out some issues, while changing the hands a bit and adding more support to the arms made the character look even better. I tried using the Giant versions of the legs but found it difficult to assemble them when reduced in size due to the peg design. So, I opted for one-piece arms instead. When attaching the arms, I use a little veg oil on the body holes and apply some pressure to get them to fit snugly. This trick works like a charm! I used Chest design from rcaslis (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047694) as the base for my character's torso. To print the belt, I started with yellow filament and then switched to blue where I wanted the belt to stop. The Superman emblem was reworked to feature a striking red color scheme starting from the yellow filament at the beginning of the design. This added an extra touch of authenticity to the character. For the hair, I modified Fringe Curl Superman hair From skimbal (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:446354) and made it my own. The result is a fabulous look that's perfect for any Lego fan! When printing the legs, I started with red filament and then switched to blue when I thought the boots were tall enough. This color scheme adds a dynamic touch to the character. To create the cape, I used the pattern included in the design and cut it out from a foam sheet. The end result is a stunning Lego character that's sure to impress!
