Lego Speed Racer 2X
thingiverse
I wanted to print Lego characters that are two times normal size. Most parts have been redesigned, some references taken from Supernova_6969's Lego Figurine Remixed. Face: I use Sharpie markers. Supports must be placed around the lower face for a more realistic flesh tone. Helmet -M is filled in with Sharpie. The helmet was printed upside down and supports were used to ensure stability. A SpeedRacerVisor Pattern is then applied to cut clear plastic, using small plastic cups or clear packaging from various items as an alternative. Arms: start printing with blue, switch to white at layer 77, then change to flesh at layer 99. When assembling the arms, a little veg oil is applied to the body holes for easier insertion and rotation. Collar: flip it 180 degrees and use supports under the edge of the V, allowing the V to separate from the other part of the collar for easier assembly. Hair: rotate it 130 degrees on Y and use supports. The result will be a more realistic black hairpiece. Hips: start printing with blue, then switch at layer 88 to white. Legs: start printing brown shoes at layer 44, switch to red socks at layer 50, then change to white pants. Neck: flip it 180 degrees and print with supports on the edges for a more realistic flesh tone. Torso: no supports are necessary, printed in blue. Hands: no supports are required, printed in orange. G: no supports are needed, printed in yellow. Scarf: use ribbon or fabric in red to complete the look.
