Lego Skydiving Harness
thingiverse
Today I spent a good portion of the day assembling my son's new bunk bed. After inspecting the new bed, my son firmly declared that Lloyd will now require a parachute. It makes perfect sense; the potential energy is indeed higher now. So, here's how to send your minifigs parachuting: 1. Print an octagon covering most of your standard printing paper (e.g. A4). 2. Cut out the octagon so it can be used as a template. 3. Using the octagon template, cut out an octagon from a plastic bag. 4. Place small hole reinforcement stickers (the kind you find among your office supplies) in all corners. 5. Thread a needle with thread and put it through each hole, using a chopstick or something to ensure they're all equal length. 6. Loop all the threads through the larger harness hole and secure them tightly. 7. Fold the chute multiple times along the middle, then press hard to create a clear center point. 8. Toss your minifig into the air with the chute folded and watch it unfold as it glides down. My son was overjoyed with the result.
