Lego Saturn V Horizontal Wall Mount
thingiverse
A sleek wall mount I crafted for the Lego Saturn V. The project was born out of frustration with existing mounts that either stood vertically or attached the rocket in a single piece. I chose to use 18mm wood panels, stained dark brown, secured by 22mm M3 screws and 4mm brass inserts, or alternatively, an M3 thread cut directly into the plastic. The panel itself is mounted to the wall using two mounting plates and four 55*5mm screws. Two drill guides are provided for attaching the rocket holders. To accommodate varying part counts, I created two STEP models: one with and one without the rocket. The STEP model featuring the rocket is hosted on Google Drive due to its large size, which exceeded Thingiverse's file limitations. You can access it at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a6IbOYuw9GJ36QVgXCdal2VSz-l38uN9/view?usp=sharing. The 3D model of the rocket was sourced from GrabCAD, a renowned platform for designers and engineers. The specific model used can be found at https://grabcad.com/library/lego-nasa-apollo-saturn-v-21309-1.
