Lego Safe Vacuum Nozzle

Lego Safe Vacuum Nozzle

thingiverse

This is a nozzle that I made for a vacuum cleaner (34mm hose diameter) that has small holes of 5mm diameter. These are small enough to prevent accidentally vacuuming up typical Lego pieces (even the small round 1x1 pieces). It is in principle possible that very small but thin pieces (antennas, small magic wands, etc) could be sucked up, but for the typical setups this should work. I have used it to vacuum plates with various Lego City and Lego Friends setups that my kids built on the floor and that got really dusty, and this worked really well. The nozzle opening is wide enough to cover a reasonable area with a good suction, but at the same time still gets into smaller places. The suction part is angled at 45 degrees, and is curved, so that it doesn't suck tight onto flat surfaces (I printed a previous flat version of this part, and that was very annoying). It prints without supports.
