LEGO ring w/studs (less bridging)
thingiverse
This is a reimagining of ZhilDV's Lego ring. I couldn't get it to print correctly due to the lack of proper cooling for such a large overhang and supports would be difficult to cut out after printing. I found someone else's existing 2x2 design and merged it with the inner structure. On my printer, I had to set the scale at 1.05% so that the Lego piece fit snugly into the corners. I only designed the 15mm size because that's what fits comfortably around my kid's fingers. The Tinkercad file is saved as individual components so it can be easily reworked for a different size if needed. It was incredibly simple to create. Instructions: I printed mine at 1.05% due to the fact that the Lego bricks have extremely hard corners which wouldn't line up well with my printer's soft rounded corners. If everything prints smoothly, you should end up with a firm base to attach a 2x2 flat piece using hot glue.
