Lego Kayak
thingiverse
This is a Lego Kayak design that floats with an optional pontoon feature. I built this design alongside my dad, who guided me through the process of creating my first modeling project together. My dad recommended using 20% fill to ensure the kayak stays light when printed on our 3D printer, which will make it easier to handle. Support material is also essential for maintaining the curve at the bottom of the kayak, providing stability and preventing warping. To achieve optimal results, I laid out the model with Lego nubs facing upwards using slicing software, as other orientations proved unsuccessful.
