Following up on my Lego domotic project that began with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2052696, I've now designed a mailbox that incorporates a 5mm LED light source. To keep things straightforward, I'm utilizing Dupond cable terminators as the base for the LED. The mailbox post features a hole where two Dupond cables can be inserted. Here's how to assemble the project: Print all the necessary parts. Attach the flag to one side of the mailbox using Super Glue with PLA. Pass two Dupond cables up through the hole located at the bottom of the post. Press the terminators together to form a bulb base. Insert the LED light source. Place the mailbox on top of the post. Connect it to your power source. Remember, if you're using a 3v source, no additional components are needed; however, if you use a 5v source, be sure to add a resistor to prevent damaging the LED. Enjoy your completed project!
