My daughter requested a mermaid fish tail for her Lego Friends figures, so I cut off the upper body of "doesntfearzeus" swimming mermaid and stabilized the figure in front with the 3D shell from sysmes. This ensured it wouldn't always fall over. I printed the model with a raft, although they might not have been necessary.
