LEGO-compatible Rollercoaster Track (short straight)

When building with the LEGO rollercoaster track system (Creator 10261, 31084 and others), you may notice that adding a looping using 2x four curve-elements requires a straight piece with 4 studs length to compensate, but LEGO only offers these in 8 and 16 studs lengths. To resolve this issue, I measured all the original track lengths using a caliper and hacked this data into OpenSCAD, starting with a 2x2 flat block as my first test. Miraculously, the very first printed attempt worked seamlessly with the original track system. To achieve a good fit on the studs, it's crucial to print your custom pieces with support material touching the bed. After printing, you may need to carefully remove some material from the bottom inside using a pair of pliers or a similar tool. This will help create a better fit between the printed piece and the LEGO studs. I hope this helps, and happy building!
