Lego compatible rails for 80s trains - Schienen für Lego-Zug aus den 80ern

Around 1980, Lego built trains with a 12-volt transformer. Unfortunately, Lego stopped producing these trains at some point and switched to trains powered by a 9V battery. I personally think this is not ideal for a toy because you have to constantly replace batteries. I believe the train was released in 1980. I played with it for years and it was my favorite toy for a long time. Now, my children build with it once a year and the train runs for hours under the Christmas tree every year. (It would cost kilograms of batteries.) Unfortunately, over the years more and more tracks and parts broke because people stepped on them from time to time. This made the train smaller each year. The rails or spare parts are no longer available in stores. Therefore, the only way to construct compatible rails for a 40-year-old train was to build them myself. No sooner said than done - I constructed them for an afternoon. You can download the result now. The rails are not one hundred percent perfect, but they work perfectly and the train is running again. It's fun to see how a 40-year-old toy still touches children's hearts today. Have fun with the old Lego train!
