Lego© compatible Patches
thingiverse
Create customized baseplates in various colors, shapes, and dimensions by using 0.4 mm thick patches. These patches can be glued to wooden, plastic, or metal boards, as well as flexible magnets. To align them perfectly, use a 1x4 original Lego stripe as a guide. You can further customize your baseplate by cutting out individual "bits" with scissors. The thin patches make printing quick, taking only 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the entire ensemble. To ensure a perfect fit, I have created three different versions of the patch: * My baseline (000) * Increased knob radius 0.025 mm (025) * Increased knob radius 0.05 mm (050) You can find more information on why I created these variations here: [www.thingiverse.com/thing:2044484](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2044484). Before printing, I recommend starting with the "Compatibility Check" and gluing it to a surface. This will allow you to test which knob diameter fits best for you, using either an original single knob brick or the printed patch. Here are the links to the three different versions: * 025 diameter: [www.thingiverse.com/thing:2068514](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2068518) * 050 diameter: [www.thingiverse.com/thing:2068518](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2068518) **Print Settings:** Printer: da Vinci 1.0 Rafts: No Resolution: 0.2 or smaller Infill: 30% **Important Notes:** ABS is the recommended printing material due to a 0.004% shrink factor included in the knob matrix design. If you print with PLA, the matrix may be 0.004% too big.
