Lego Basic Display Stand
cults3d
A set of basic display stands for Lego brick models. Everything is designed with standard Lego specifications in mind to fit with ordinary bricks and plates. The bases are 4, 5, and 6 bricks in height. The top of each base is a standard 2 x 4 brick, so additional pieces may be attached on top of it or under it as desired. The bottom brick set into the bottom plate is 1 brick tall and has four studs on top as well. The bottom plate has a diameter equal to a 6-stud piece. It is as tall as a standard plate, but only has four studs, two on each side of the stand. The studs are placed correctly for interlocking with other pieces or for minifigures. The bottom of the plate is flat. The extender is 4 bricks in height and has no bottom plate; its bottom is a standard 2 x 4 brick so it can be stacked on bases, other extenders, or Lego bricks. Design Process / Credits The design started with 3DprintsNL's 2 x 4 Lego brick. I loaded the design into Tinkercad and, using the standard measurements as recorded by Dr. Christoph Bartneck, built out the tower supports and the bottom plate.
